Job details The role is within a major European Insurer's JV entity in China.

Job Description:

Assist management in the integration of risk management and the strategy development processes
Assist in development and communication of risk management policies, risk appetite and risk limits
Assist in development & follow-up on risk mitigation strategies / activities in the business and ensure quality implementation by responsible parties
Facilitate enterprise-wide risk assessments & monitor priority across the business
Ensure that all group/regional policies are adhered to at all times (e.g. investment limits, Risk minimum standards)
Lead and drive local working level Risk Committee
Train and educate Risk Management staff & general mgt and develop general risk management capabilities within the business
Build a strong risk management team



Education, Experience , Qualities & Skills:
Good understanding of Insurance Business
Experience and expertise in at least one area of business (e.g. Investment, Actuarial, Risk Management, Operations and Finance)
-- Forward and out of the box thinking - Ability to develop ideas and concepts from scratch.
-- Strong financial background: quick assessment of business and risks – core understanding of business financials (accounting, finance and balance sheet)
-- Strong analytical skills
--Bachelor Degree and at least one professional risk related qualification (e.g. CFA, FRM)
