Job details Our client is an investment management company with offices all over the world.
Due to its expansion, they are looking for an outstanding candidate very well experienced in Private Equity or Fund of Funds

The position will be based in Singapore to cover Asia Pacific. The position is to be filled in the Asian Funds team which invests primarily in the private equity asset class.


Responsibilities

• Lead small deal teams in due diligence of private equity (later stage growth and LBO) funds as well as co-investments (2/3 of time on funds and 1/3 on co-investment)
• Quantitative and qualitative analysis of transactions (funds and co-investment)
• Formulate country strategy and landscaping of funds.
• Participate in meetings with investment banks, management teams, partners of PE firms.
• As a generalist, the AVP will have exposure to multiple industries and stages within private equity
• As an integral part of a small team, the AVP will be given as much responsibility as he/she can handle.


Requirements

• Good academic qualifications with about 4 to 8 years of work experience in a Private Equity setup. However, candidates with experience in fund-to-fund investing, co-investing, or merchant banking experience with a strong technical skill set may be considered.
• An MBA is not required; this individual may be a successful, direct promote. Someone graduating with an MBA will have at least one to two years of private equity or relevant work experience post graduate school.
• Excellent financial analysis and modeling skills, able to conduct comprehensive research and synthesize results
• Besides being a good team-player, candidates should also demonstrate maturity, integrity and possess the ability to interact with the partners of private equity firms
• Strong written and communication skills; good organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
• Fluent in both spoken and written Mandarin/Chinese
