Our tier one global financial client is recruiting for several high calibre candidates to join a specialised IT team that offers world-class systems in FX/MM (Foreign Exchange/ Money Markets) to the Global Market business worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in the entire life cycle of the Prime Brokerage development project, from requirements gathering to development, testing and implementation
• Collaborate with global IT teams in Hong Kong and London to ensure that deliverables meet business requirements and the Bank’s standards
• Perform system analysis/design, recommend cost-effective solutions and cultivate an effective working relationship with external vendors/consultants, business users as well as offshore workforce in China
• Monitor progress, resource utilisation, risks and issues throughout the project and escalate to management accordingly
• Provide coaching, mentoring and guidance to junior analysts/developers

Requirements:

• University graduate with a degree in computer science or a related discipline
• A minimum of 4 years' IT working experience, preferably in an enterprise or a global environment
• MUST have Traiana or Margin calculation systems experience
• Working experience in Prime Brokerage systems and related vendor products such as the Traiana product suite, project management methodology such as Eclipse and Clearcase
• Enterprise FX trading applications, low latency electronic trading and e-Commerce business, as well as Credit/Margin system experience would be preferable
• Technical knowledge in Java, Adobe Flex, low latency messaging, middleware (Tib, Tibco, Websphere), XML, FIX, Unix shell scripts and Sybase
• In-depth knowledge in FX related products and financial markets will be an advantage
• Strong planning, organisational, interpersonal, analytical and problem solving skills
• Able to work independently, proactively and under pressure against multiple deadlines
• Effective written and spoken communication skills in English
• Flexibility to travel overseas, and sometimes with short stay for months when necessary
