Location: Shanghai

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to provide the China management with financial advice and counsel on all pertinent business matters by supplying ongoing, timely, and meaningful financial analysis, both routine and as needed, of its results, capital expenditures and expenses.
• Prepare and evaluate Group China budgets, forecasts and 5/10 year plans, and analyze profit and loss statements and balance sheets to help ensure profitable operations and consistency with sound business management.
• Perform analysis of China manufacturing operations for all operating entities and recommend and monitor cost reduction programs and control of manufacturing costs and G&A expenses.
• Perform accurate financial evaluations of proposed capital expenditures to ensure timely and profitable business decisions, and post evaluation.
• Ensure completion of regular monthly management reporting packaging with financial comments to internal customers.
• Ensure completion of timely and accurate Corporate Reporting submission to regional and global ATR (Accounting to Reporting) team.
• Investigate and resolve variance ad-hoc analysis requests.
• Involved in project analysis including pricing strategy, cost control and reduction, investment analysis, etc.
• Function as Manager of the Financial Analysis team for China Region, managing Financial Analysts covering over 20 plants.

Requirements

• A high degree of financial competence is necessary for this position. CPA / CGA / ACCA / MBA are preferred;
• 8+ years solid finance working experience in MNCs or Big 4 CPAs firm.
• Excellent analytical and financial skills
• Makes decisions and is able to convince people and his/her management on his/her recommendations
• Ability to adapt to different situations, cultures and people
• The recumbent must have a general knowledge of cost accounting principles as well as capital investment analysis and forecasting techniques.
• Strong organizational and planning skills and the ability to work effectively in a matrix organization.
• Excellent English speaking, reading and writing.
• Strong people management skills
• Strong influencing, communication and presentation skill
• Extensive problem solving skill
