Job details Finance Manager (NCCR/18316/ANGT)

Our client is an international trading company with a focus on import and distribution of French wine. In China it has a WFOE in Shanghai, a holding company in Hong Kong and 3 offices in Beijing, Chengdu and Guangzhou. To meet their fast growing business needs, they are eager to invite high caliber candidates to join them on the following position.

Location: Shanghai

Responsibilities:

- Report to GM China (an expatriate)
- Supervise a small finance team
- HR: recruitment and contract management

Finance & Accounting:

• Responsible for full accounting functions including Account Payable, Account Receivable, payroll, bank reconciliation, stock reconciliation, monitoring of fixed assets, month end procedures;

• All tasks associated with the daily, monthly and yearly financials for the company;
• Monthly and annual closing, including Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss;
• Monitoring of forward exchange contract and loans;
• Preparation of sales report by division for managers and Head Office;
• Preparation of monthly reporting as requested by Head Office;
• Provide sales representatives and management with detailed aged receivable on a weekly basis;
• Preparation and lodgment of monthly and annual returns on time and in accordance with Chinese regulations (including GST, FBT, PAYE, ITR);
• Maintain foreign currency register;
• Cashflow management;
• Prepare check runs for approval by General Manager and organize the payment in accordance with Group Policy;
• Explanation of General Ledger balances;
• Preparation of financial statement at year end;
• Preparation of audit file at year end for auditor;
• Preparation of information requested by Head Office for the Group annual consolidation;
• Intercompany reconciliation;
• Liaison with Bankers, IT companies and auditors.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years accounting and finance experience with western companies
• Multi-site accounting & finance management experience
• Bachelor degree majoring in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
• French language capacity strongly preferred
• Prior experience in HR management would be an advantage
• Can work under pressure
• Accountable, honest, quick learning
